Helping Hand

Relief & Rehabilitation

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land. (Deuteronomy 15:11)

Relief activity is one of our main objectives to reach the people and win for Christ. In this juncture we are planning to help the effected flood areas of our own district. Here I want to bring it to your notice of flood situation in Bhadrachalm Division, Khammam district of Andhra Pradesh. Our Relief Team Leader personally visited and discussed with few village people and enquired about their needs. Due to loss of every thing they are cooking the food on the roads or in dry places. Relief efforts in this paper is defined as the provision of immediate assistance in the form of food, clothing, shelter and tools to alleviate the stress, frustration and fear the displaced families and individuals may have. Rehabilitation means the provision of lasting assistance in the rural areas and thus bringing about sustainable rural development. This assistance must include conflict resolution, trauma counseling and spiritual counseling where necessary.

Medicine and Cloths support for widows

According to James - 1:27 (supported by Proverbs - 3:27 and 22:9) - "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world".

We are also maintaining about 40 helpless widows who don't have skills. We give them Cloths (sarees), Monthly Medicine supply and at times we help them financially. We want to help them regularly.

We require at least 50 US $ per month, to maintain a widow and her children. Your support here would be much appreciated.

Orphanage

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." (Matthew 25:35)

"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. (Matthew 18:5)

In our orphanage currently we have 35 children but we only have support for about 15. So at certain times of the year we need extra for the children to meet shortfalls in finance when they occur. We want to help other children in desperate situations also but we currently don't have the means to do this. If God gives us more sponsors we'll be able to look after them. We need at least 15 US$ per month to feed, clothe and educate each child. Each child is loved, properly disciplined and spends 2 hours in the presence of God each day.

We require at least 25 US $ per month, to maintain a child. Your support here would be much appreciated to reach these tribal children.
